Review Policy

I accept physical copies for review consideration. I do this for free out of a love for reading. My opinions are honest, so I am not the person to ask if you are looking for an automatic 4 or 5 star review. Should I choose to review your book, the review will be posted on this blog, Goodreads, Instagram, Bookbub and my Facebook page. Reviews are also emailed to my Subscribers. 

I am honored if you find my review helpful in promoting your book and you are free to post quotes or share it wherever you please. However, I am not honored when you cut my name off. Please do not refer to me as "Goodreads reviewer." I may not be famous but I do have a name and it is not Goodreads. I don't cut your name off your book, don't cut mine off my review.

I do not accept every request, but I do my best to get to the ones I accept in a timely fashion. Please do not try to rush me or keep asking if I have started your book yet. I am just one person reading as fast as I can.

I am currently accepting Horror only, and preferably advance copies so that I can read them on my own schedule as opposed to something you published a month ago that requires immediate review. I try to read in the order of first come first served, but ARCs that I have personally requested take precedence over books that I have not asked for. 

I do not review unsolicited books. Do not send me a book without asking. When random books show up at my door I consider them gifts, not obligations.

Acceptance of your book does not mean it is ok to send me everything you have ever written.

Acceptance of your book is not a guarantee of a review. If your book is not a good fit for me I may not finish reading it and will move on to the next. I will still do a feature or book mail post across social media even if I do not review it.

I am not a fan of series and will no longer review them. My TBR is very long and I am just one person reading as fast as I can. I can't leave others waiting while I read part 2 or 3 or 4 of any one author's series.
